Carol singers will entertain the event, which is set at 11am till 3pm. Minced pies and mulled wine are Sheffield staples, and will definitely be served by some of the Fayre's participating stalls.

2. Sheffield Christmas Market, November 24 to December 24, 2019

If you're in for some Christmas shopping and entertainment with the entire family, the Sheffield Christmas Market at the Fargate, Town Hall Square, and the Peace Gardens opens from November 14 and will end on Christmas Eve on December 24. The popular annual Christmas market will feature over 50 handpicked market traders, offering everything from crafts, tasty treats, to hundreds of unique products perfect for holiday gift giving. Over 85% of the participating businesses are from the local area, making it a fantastic market to support local entrepreneurs.

Aside from shopping, the market will also feature fairground rides, a Santa's Grotto, a Thor's Tipi, and The Big Wheel.

Open from Sundays through Thursdays from 10am to 6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 8pm, The Sheffield Christmas Market is the place to be for the entire family to enjoy.

3. Mrs. Brown's Boys - D'Musical?, December 6 to 8, 2019

The award-winning show invites you to their new production set to be staged at the FlyDSA Arena in Broughton Lane. With four performances from December 6 to December 8, the show will be held at the arena's intimate style Steel Hall, and promises to take audiences on a thrilling adventure of laughs and toe tapping extravaganza.

The show has won numerous awards, from being voted the #1 Sitcom of the 21st Century, to 5 BAFTAs and 4 National Television Awards, among many others. It's a must-see show that's perfect for anyone who appreciates the art of live theater.

4. The Snowman with Live Orchestra, December 4, 2019

And what's Christmas without a live orchestra concert? The Snowman with Live Orchestra is a great musical feast for the entire family. The show will be held at The Winding Wheel in Chesterfield on December 4, Wednesday, from 6:30pm till 8pm in the evening. Audiences will get to immerse themselves in a beautiful animated film of The Snowman this Christmas, which will be accompanied by live music provided by a professional orchestra.

The world class production is by Carrot Productions, with an orchestra featuring some of the best musicians from all over the UK. They've played in Cathedrals and the finest venues in the UK, and will definitely be an event that's sure to bring the Christmas atmosphere to the entire audience.

5. Trust10 Longshaw, December 22, 2019

For running enthusiasts, the Trust10 Longshaw will hold a 10km run along the beautiful surroundings of the Longshaw Estate and the Eastern Moors. The run will be held on December 22, with a meet up at the Longshaw cafe. Registration will start at 8:15 in the morning, with the run starting at 9am, It is an informal run organized by the National Trust, which is a 125-year-old non-profit organization committed to taking care and preserving the country's special spaces such as the Longshaw Estate.

The run is free and open to the general public, as long as they are over the age of 14. No pets are allowed, unfortunately. The run will be a 2-lap timed run with good trails and technical off-road sections, but is suitable for all runners of all abilities.
